Australian Liquor Marketing (ALM) has become the latest supporter of Australian professional golf and will sponsor five tournaments on the PGA of Australia’s upcoming tour schedule.
Through its Cellarbrations brand ALM has confirmed their substantial support for the five tournaments to be played over the next 12 months. The involvement is set to include naming rights sponsorship of three upcoming state championship events in the New South Wales, Queensland and Victorian PGA Championships. The agreement is said to also include an additional sponsorship package for the 2009 Moonah Classic- the only co-sanctioned US Nationwide Tour event played on Australian soil.
“The PGA of Australia is pleased to announce this new partnership with Australian Liquor Marketing which that will see the Cellarbrations brand associated with many facets of Australian golf including our state championships, which are some of the PGA’s oldest and most prestigious tournaments,” said Max Garske, CEO of the PGA of Australia. “With over 400 independent retailers throughout Australia the Cellarbrations brand is an excellent fit for golf, and in particular the Von Nida Tour which continues to take world-class professional golf direct into the backyards of local communities around the country.”
