According to one report, Georgia is looking to exist golf. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Lt. Gov Casey Cagle told a group of local mayors, “The state of Georgia isn’t going to be in the golf business and the hotel business much longer.” Some of the state’s course will be privatized and others will be sold, Cagle said. The PGA of America earlier this year stated the golf industry represented a greater economic impact than the movie business. It would appear golf could use its own version of Jerry Bruckheimer, at least in the peach state.
