Home HAVE GOLF WILL TRAVEL:

Labor Day often symbolizes the end of summer in the minds of many. The golf season can become intermittent at best before the inevitable becomes apparent. While the golf industry winds down for another year, other than in the sun belt region, demand for play is usually still strong. Especially for those who are accustomed to putting their clubs in hibernation mode each year. However, with the advent of global warming for those who subscribe to the theory or anyone else still eager to chase after a Titleist, Nike, Bridgestone or Callaway, there is still an opportunity to play before putting the clubs away. Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, S.C., is offering golfers a new “stay and play” package that includes three premium golf courses at a more than affordable rate.
"Timeless Tees and River Scenes" is available from September 9, 2009 through November 29, 2009 for as low as $399 per person, including tax. Golfers can enjoy luxury accommodations for three nights at Pawleys Plantation, plus golf on its Jack Nicklaus-designed course, The Heritage Club and River Club. As an added incentive, golfers who book the package before September 30th, will receive a fourth night free, plus an additional round at Pawleys Plantation, including cart.
“Pawleys Plantation is known for its beauty, upscale amenities and atmosphere of relaxed elegance and charm,” said Jann Walker, director of marketing at Pawleys Plantation. “More and more, we're also being recognized for offering the best value packages on the Waccamaw Neck. The three courses in 'Timeless Tees and River Scenes' are top notch and each usually has a greens fee of more than a hundred dollars plus cart fee. Yet, we've put them together with luxurious villa accommodations and breakfasts in a package that starts at $399. That's an extraordinary value.”
“Timeless Tees and River Scenes” is the latest in a series of value packages offered by Pawleys Plantation. Most recently, the resort also began offering a three-night “Plantation Package” that includes courses that have been named some of the best courses in South Carolina by Golf Digest. From September 18, 2009 through November 16, 2009, golfers can enjoy play on three award-winning favorites: Pawleys Plantation, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, and True Blue Plantation. Rates start at $517 per person, plus tax, and also include breakfast each morning. Additional information is available at www.pawleysplantation.com or by calling 800-367-9959.
