The best laid plans go often astray. Those words were used by Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck in his 1937 work titled Of Mice and Men. The phrase came from a Robert Burns poem and it isn’t inconceivable that Aussie Adam Scott might be muttering something to that affect to himself these days. "With pretty low confidence and then playing the tough golf courses that we have to play I have certainly been beaten up a little a bit this year. I have looked at all areas over the year. My ball striking wasn't as good and I have been trying to change some things in my swing. Nothing drastic, but I am just trying to get the club back to where it was on the plane. That hasn't been right which has affected the confidence.”
