The U.S. hotel industry reported decreases in all three key measurements during the week of 31 January-6 February 2010, according to data from Smith Travel Research. In year-over-year measurements, the industry’s occupancy ended the week virtually flat with a 0.8-percent decrease to 48.4 percent. Average daily rate dropped 4.8 percent to finish the week at US$95.34. Revenue per available room for the week fell 5.6 percent to finish at US$46.14. READ MORE>>>
