Home Wilson Golf stands by its man

pharringtonWilson Golf is standing behind its man. Padraig Harrington, who finished the 2011 season ranked 78th in the world, isn’t going to change his clubs either. The Chicago-based company announced it has re-signed Harrington, who has resisted the temptation to switch equipment companies ever since he became a professional in late 1995. “Wilson Golf has been with me since day one when I turned professional,” said Harrington. “I work very closely with the Wilson R&D team and count on them to continue to put out great products that can win Majors. Wilson is a brand I can trust.”

The Irishman has won three major championships with Wilson: The Open Championship in 2007 and 2008 and the PGA Championship, also in 2008. Safe to say both sides wouldn’t mind seeing history repeat itself again. “Wilson Golf is excited about continuing its relationship with Padraig Harrington,” said Tim Clarke, general manager of Wilson Golf. “Harrington has been the face of Wilson Golf for many years during his successful career and we hope to see him in the winner’s circle in 2012.
