Titleist was once again the headliner in the field at the 90th PGA Championship when it came to golf balls in play. The company said 93 players teed it up at Oakland Hills, compared to 24 for the nearest competitor. Padraig Harrington's victory was the 20th for Titleist golf ball players on the 2008 PGA Tour, twice the amount of the nearest competitor, according to the company. Additional victories on the Nationwide and Asian Tours advanced the impressive win count across the worldwide professional tours to 110, which is more than four times than the nearest competitor which has 25, Titleist said.
Titleist also announced it was the top choice of players at the PGA Championship in the iron (39), wedge (139) and putter (58) categories.
